What is Natural Skin Care and Why it is Important?

Natural skin care is one where the raw ingredients (eg. plant extracts, waxes, oils) are not treated with pesticides and other chemicals while growing or during processing. Many of us use more than 20 different beauty products a day, including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, moisturiser, toner, cleanser, body lotion, deodorant, foundation, concealer, eye shadow, lipstick, nail polish…..the list goes on. These products are applied directly to the skin, lips and around our eyes and hair. The problem is that our bodies absorb chemicals through our skin. This means we are absorbing and ingesting a huge amount of chemicals each day. This is why at Aquabelle Skin Care, our products do not contain parabens, synthetic preservatives, propylene glycol, sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate, artificial colours or fragrances.
